The fact that the Toyota Supra has returned as the A90 MkV is old news. But whether you denounce or extol the sports car for its BMW bones, you cannot deny the model’s heritage. And the new, 2024 Toyota GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition leans into that heritage by paying homage to nearly half a century of the iconic Supra. Nostalgia is a tricky thing. It gives us the tendency to build things up in our minds, and, therefore, makes them nearly impossible to recreate. The new 45th Anniversary Edition does not attempt to recapture the lost magic of the legendary Supras of yore—especially the MkIV Supra—but it nonetheless wears some cool details.
